Verizon and Motorola have just released a new tablet called the Xoom, which has about the same size and dimensions as the iPad. What’s different about the Xoom is that instead of Apple’s iOS operating system, it runs a version of Google’s open-source Android operating system, which is completely different and specially designed for tablets.
